My husband I just love everything we order from you and we order a lot, from salads to pizzas, and the staff on the phone is always very upbeat and great. One thing I think is that you should offer banana peppers as a topping…just cause we love them so much on pizzas…keep making great food…thanks the Green Family

I am glad you added small salads to the menu, but you NEED to bring back the tuna nicoise! Also, alot of your salads have fruit or nuts in them– maybe you should add just a “house” salad on the menu (greens, egg, tomato, carrots, broc., cucumber, croutons)

Couch Tomato has the most fresh ingredients, the best service, the best quality for your buck, but if you could please bring back the salmon we would be back to our die-hard 3-4X/week ordering habits!

Hey - I know you are looking to expand. They are re-developing Malvern and we would love a place like this on King Street. You would do one heck of a business here, as there is nothing like this around. Check it out

3 comments: 1- let people order online.
2: you already have proven yourself as a mistro with Pizza, can you attempt to recreate an old philadelphia classic that has gone to the grave.. Piccalos. Semi risen soft crust with cheese on the bottom and a sweet circular swirl of sauce on top?
3: not an original..chicken or veal parm stromboli…

Our staff enjoys the specialty pizzas and salads from the Couch Tomato, but it would make life so much more convenient if I could place an emailed order, or an online order and get an email back with costs.

I love the couch tomato! It’s great to get a fresh healthy salad that actually looks appetizing! My one suggestion is to post the nutritional information on your website for each item. It would be a big help to those watching the calories!
Also, thanks for adding small size salads!

I was made aware of your website and cafe by a neighbor of yours. We have been in email contact concerning business and I mentioned that I hail out of Watertown, NY and he told me about your place and that your family is from there. I now live in Oklahoma and have been out of Watertown since ‘96 having reached Oklahoma via Arizona and New Mexico. I had tears in my eyes when your neighbor was telling me how very good/delicious your pizzas are and after reading your menu it certainly didn’t ease my homesickness for those “Watertown pizzas” that I remember. One cannot find a pizza like I had when I grew up in Watertown and I’ve found nothing that can replace them. Any thoughts on expanding to Oklahoma?
Well, nice to see someone from my hometown being successful in another part of the country. Like I said, our mutual friend Don is promoting your business country wide in fine style with mouth-watering descriptions and praise.
Good luck with your expansion endeavor and with whatever roads you may travel over with your business. Take care. Peace, Cheryl

You guys make the best wraps and pizza around. One stop shop!!! Question though, why do you wrap the wraps the way you do? The ends are next to impossible to eat without making a mess. If you just would wrap the wrap, and then wrap it with paper it would solve all. Again, amazing ingredients and staff, just need a tad adjustment in delivery.

I’m a big Couch Tomato fan…but what would make me an even bigger fan would be some vegan protein options, or even some low-fat protein options. Tofu, for example, or Boca crumbles, or edamame might be some good vegan options. Or even egg whites and low-fat cheese. Then I really might eat at Couch Tomato everyday!

Couch Tomato Cafe has the best pizza in town! At my office, we order from there at least once a week. I love that you sell Vitamin Water, but could you please include the Energy Tropical Citrus flavor? It gives me the kick I need to wake up after lunch.

So a drug rep brought some food into my work and I’s counting calories so I wasn’t sure if I was going to eat anything. The pizza smelled delicious as did the bread. But I saw the salad and HAD to splurge. I finally found where it came from, which I am so happy about but I would appreciate if you could post the calories of each item on this website somewhere because I want to come and eat here all the time because that salad was the best thing ever!!!!
Advice … POST CALORIES

You guys are great, we’ve been ordering since the beginning. But in reply to one of the other comments - please please listen to the suggestion about bringing back Salmon! Our house of 8 girls would be back to ordering 3-4 times a week too if you did. Also, we tried the new Thai Peanut dressing - we taste the peanut, but no ‘Thai’ - adding cilantro would make it more authentic and delicious (check out local Thai restaurants for ideas, or even Champps’ is surprisingly good).

I love this restaurant! The menu is awesome. I order quite frequently and I enjoy everything I get. At first I didn’t care for the bread, but I recently got some and it was awesome.
My suggestion would be to add rotisserie(sp) chicken. That combined with the salads and pizza would be a winning combination.

I just wanted to give the biggest ‘Thank You’ EVER to the staff who was working tonight (Wed. 3/18). My husband dropped in just before closing and the staff still served him and didn’t make him feel like a total idiot for coming in so late. I think most places would have just told us to bugger off. Seriously, truly exceptional customer service! I really mean it. You have my endorsement 100%!

I ordered a pizza last night and wanted 1/2 margherita and 1/2 regular pepporoni. I wasn’t sure if they were able to do that, so I asked, and they in fact said they could do it. I get home and see that they simply made a regular pizza, threw pepperoni on one side and tomoatoes, basil and a couple mozzarella slices on the other. This was not the margherita pizza I have come to expect from this place. If you are going to charge $20.00 for a pizza, get it right!

I just recieved another delivery order and sadly, this is the 3rd time in the last week or so that the order was missing something. Today it was a wheat roll, last time it was the salad dressing and the first time it was a whole lunch order. I love your food, but it’s about $10 for lunch with tip on a delivery order. You have to get it right. Thanks for caring!

My roommates and I love couch tomato. They is a great selection of fresh, healthy foods to choose from. The delivery can be a bit slow (about an hour at times!) so I would suggest picking up your food.
Also, just a suggestion, I would love if the nutritional info. (even if it was just calories) was available. As a person that is trying to be mindful of my caloric intake/weight I think this would be really helpful.
Keep up the great work!

My Pizza suggestion…
I love a plain cheese pizza but on the side, I love tuna salad. I suggest you serve this pizza with a container of tuna salad on the side and a fork to scoop out the tuna and top the pizza while you eat it! Strange but delishiously..true. Would I lie to you? Thanks, Donna

Everytime my sister and I come to Philadelphia, one of our required stops is the Couch Tomato in Manayunk for the Garden of Eden pizza. We were extremely saddened to find out it has been taken off the menu. You HAVE to bring the Garden of Eden pizza back! We come all the way from Washington, DC to get that pizza! It is literally the best pizza we’ve ever had. We LOVE the Couch Tomato, and while our favorite pizza may be gone (hopefully not for good), we’ll still come back to our favorite pizza place every trip!

Hi,
bought a Travelzoo deal whuch stated a ‘up to $31 value” for $15 10 inch pizza, 2 drinks a large salad. I redeemed it last week 9th (I think) and was sadly disappointed -also disgusted that it wasnt special deal at all since your menu had almost an identical offer with an extra cookie included for $15.99. So why I dont understand that you have a time limit on this offer for $15 -i guess 2 drinks make people think tis’ a meal for 2 people and i am sad to say it is not nearly enough. The pizza is thin and not exactly loaded with stuff, the large salad is a regular by my experience-some of the strawberry slices were wilty and same with the spinach(not the freshest)and mushrooms. The pizza itself-crust was hot but the ingredients were not thoroughly heated-both cheeses seem to be just sitting on top of the pie waiting for rehearsal? I am sad to say I did NOT enjoy my meal.
I really feel cheated. I drove 50 min each way, no parking to be found, saw your restaurant and was glad i didnt bring a guest to dine in-so I ordered out and tasted the pizza in the car sinc ei was hungry by then and was so mad that the cheese wasnt hot and heated thoroughly-i like my pizza gushing with piping hot drooling cheese. the ricotta (i think) was just squirted on in squilly pattern? (like worms) why?
YOu think I can get my money back? thank you

High-gluten crust might taste great, but for someone with gluten sensitivity and/or celiac disease, which is being diagnosed more frequently now that the medical community knows more about it, it is literally sickening. How about offering gluten-free options so everyone can equally share the joy of your awesome food?!

PLEASE get Daiya Vegan Cheese - It’s GMO and SOY FREE and is the BEST TASTING fake cheese I ever ate! It comes in Mozzarella, Chedder, and Pepper Jack. Ed’s Buffalo Wings & Pizza on Lancaster Ave and Blackbird Pizza on S. 6th Street use this and it’s fantastic! Check out Blackbird Pizza’s online menu to see what the sell - all is vegan. With so much TOXINS now in our food, more people are concerned about their safety, especially radioactive contamination of ALL dairy products. Ben & Jerry’s Vanilla Ice Cream contains up to 2000 times the limit of dioxin in it, because the cows graze outdoors and the grass get polluted - same with Fukushima fallout. Dairy and meat products are the most dangerous to eat.

My boyfriend and I come to Couch Tomato once to twice a week. We love the food and customer service. Unlike chain restaurants, which we never go to, CT has excellent quality and creativity of the food it serves. I never order chicken dishes at cafes if fear of it being fatty or processed but at CT, I never had this experience.
The only suggestion I will make is that it I think CT should consider offering a student and military discount. Many students frequent Manayunk and to stay competitive with other businesses, offering students a discount may be a way. My boyfriend is an Army Officer and so a military discount is something we look for in businesses; not so much for the monetary benefit but for the recognition to those who serve our country. We like to support businesses that support us as military men and women.
My boyfriend and I look forward to the opening of the Tomato Cafe!
Thank you,
Amanda

I love the Couch Tomato and so does my picky husband! It’s turned into a serious addiction. I’m making one teeny suggestion as a gluten intolerant vegan: maybe consider offering GF ‘za? Or maybe a GF roll to go with those salads I’ve been thoroughly enjoying. Think about it!

I love the salads at Couch Tomato! I have had very few complaints with my food from there, my only suggestion would be to offer the nutritional information for the food. I am trying to watch what I eat, as many people are, and I know that If I knew more, I would most likely order from here more.
